Grindsted was a really nice place and there was almost impossible to beleave that this town once had railroads in 6 different directions, and now only one connection was left. When I was here, the only rail-traffic was a weekly train consisting of 2(!) wagons to a local chemestry. Hard to beleave that this bransh-line is profitable with this limited traffic, when othere branch-lines has with much more trafic has been closed. Also "Veterantog Vest" runs some charter here in the summer periode.

The below pictures has also been published on Postvogna

First a overwuev over the old station area. All of this was once covered with rails. We are looking from the Station Building and south-wards. The formar lines from Varde and Kolding came into the station in the middel of the picture, and the current line to Bramming comes in just below the roof the the car. Nowadays a big road has been build just over the old station.

The last passanger train left Grindsted in the beginning of the 70th. Since then, all public transport has been with bus. The bus-station has been build where once track 1 and 2 were. The bus is heading for Varde, just like the old VaGJ-line did.

The old Station Clock still keep the time.

This post-modern shunting-sheed is one of the only remaining buildings on the old station.

There is only 2 track left on the station.
